My apologies, no new fiction today — I spent the weekend fighting back a nasty cold, and couldn’t get it together to write something worth sharing.

As I was playing out the action of the score and taking notes, I found myself wanting more detail on the Dalmore School and Emma’s history there, so the next installment will not be Session 4.7, but rather a bit of a timeline and history of the Dalmore School (including Emma’s time there) that I generated using an awesome indie RPG called Microscope. This is a powerful worldbuilding tool disguised as a fun little TTRPG which you learn more about here on the creator’s site. I’ve used it for both personal and professional projects, and I hope it might help some of you folks with your own home games or solo RPG projects!

I’m planning to put that up on 10/14, and then Session 4.7 on 10/21. That episode (or the next one, depending on how a few dice rolls shake out) should be the last of Session 4, and the conclusion of the first arc of Proper Villains!

Once that’s done and dusted, we’ll make some decisions about what storyline to pursue next — a return to Stonetop, more proper villainy, or something else!
