The Uncertain Seeker

Vahid's choice balances upon the edge of a knife. More votes are needed!

In the three-ish years we’ve been doing reader polls to make major decisions we have yet to have a tie. There’ve been some close calls and plenty of landslides, but no dead-even races. Until this week!

When I opened up my notes and the results of the reader poll to begin play for the week, here’s what I saw:

A dead heat between the two more dramatic options: Unleash the storm spirit to wreak havoc on friend and foe alike, or bind the spirit to Vahid’s will and body, using forbidden magic (just this once!) to tap into its greater powers.

I considered a few ways to break the tie — a simple Oracle roll being the most straightforward, but given the gravity of the decision here, I didn’t feel right leaving it up to chance. But ultimately, if the tie persists, that seems like the most fair way to go forward.

But! There’s still a bit of time to make a decision here, so if you haven’t voted yet, or usually lurk rather than voting, this is your chance to have a big impact on the direction of the story. And, if you were one of the folks who voted ‘Refuse,’ you can feel free to vote a second time.
