"Here and there are pools of nervous eagerness, impatience and fear, shuddering and quivering like the surface of water near the footfalls of some terrible beast."
Anwen's the marshall now, the leader, and a leader has to know when it's time to ignore advice - even when it's from their old leader - and follow their own instinct.
"He nocks an arrow as Anwen wrenches her axe free and raises her shield, but before he can loose, a great wind lifts him bodily off his feet and flings him down the embankment, where he lands with a sickening crack and lays still. In the place where he stood, Vahid descends, his cloak blowing in the growing wind as dark storm clouds gather overhead, drawn by the spiritβs power."
Catching up π

Leader or not, Anwen's core is to face down injustice and to follow her instincts. Go crack some heads, Anwen!

Impetuousness and courage got her here, might as well stick with 'em. ;-)
"enough to silence Quiet Quill for good." really had to twist the knife, huh :/
The dice twisted the knife, I'm just reporting it
I would have voted for Pads way, those folks are not stonetopers and as Anwen herself mentioned, they have important and urgent stuff to do.
That said, aiding the caravan and slaying so e storm boys will also weaken the houdr somewhat, so it might be worth doing....
Tough call....
