Vahid is in his element. And wow is Let’s Make a Deal a serious power move. I don’t think I appreciated how much converting a weak hit to strong meant before.
It really is! One thing I'm curious about, and I think I'll ask the creator: When you Seek Insight and learn what your interlocutor wants, and then use that information to Persuade them, you do seem to be acting on the information you gained from Seek Insight, which means you are supposed to get advantage. That means not only are you converting weak hits to strong ones, you *also* have advantage on the roll. Powerful!
And I'm glad you feel that way about Vahid. :-D I was trying to push him go really big and embrace his new visionary instinct we picked last session.
Me neither! That's one of the delights of using random tables for this stuff, it helps push you into concepts and characters that you wouldn't necessarily envision naturally. There were lots of Theme Oracle results that could've given something a bit more expected, but I'm warming to the idea of having a reverse-Lady Macbeth in the mix -- she could create an interesting twist if the party captures Jahalim's attention and begins to lead him down a path she views as too dangerous to contemplate.
Oh, absolutely! Thanks to this series (because of how cool many of your NPCs are) I’ve incorporated Ironsworn random generators in my own games to (imo) quite good effect.

The story resumes! Demetra is a really big surprise for me, not an NPC i could anticipate (especially with that instinct).

Same! I was very into her introduction.
Fantastic piece!
Good catch, heh -- I thought i fixed that one! I’ll get at it as soon as I’m back at my PC.
“She notes Vahid's strange storm-marked eyes...” - I think it should be “eye” now?
Awesome story so far :)
