More then anything the way you setup the interaction between the past and the current people is a master class in good world building.

Pad took it on the chin and took it well! Excited to see how it plays out.

The scene with the fen walkers got confusing for me in the middle. Also the sickness made me think of shimmer in the show arcane which I doubt it's like.

Tell me more! What part got confusing? The chain of events w/ Sianna and Connor?

The back and forth between the fen walkers leading up to them all being kicked out.

Got it -- the intention of those NPCs and that back-and-forth was twofold -- First, as part of the revelation that literally everything Anwen's mother told her about herself has been a lie, and second, to demonstrate that Anwen's history still represents an open wound within the fen-walkers. Clearly, they don't agree on Sianna's decisions or the fate she's been consigned to, so Anwen stands to get involved in this conflict if she digs deeper.

A proper heart-in-mouth opening! Really enjoying this, thanks. Does the cloaca description remind anyone else of a nuclear reactor or is that just me?

I love that comparison! I have some thoughts about the true purpose of the structure that might come up if Vahid makes it down there and is able to noodle about. But the Stone Lords were able to accomplish many incredible things with stone, crystal, and resonance, so it's very unlikely that they used the cloaca for what it's being used for now.

I think I'm more attached to the stonetop crew already than I ever was to the proper villains crew, at least from a perspective of rooting for them and being invested in their wellbeing!

I think a lot of it has to do with Padrig wanting to put his sordid past behind him and getting more details on everyone in the stonetop crew's past.

Yeah, if I'm being honest with myself, I think Proper Villains never quite meshed in the same way that Stonetop did. I have a lot of thoughts about why and how that happened, which I'll probably delve into in future episodes. Looking forward to hearing your reactions on some of the big moments of the Stonetop saga. :-D

I've typed and retyped various versions on various thoughts on why it felt like Stonetop meshed more quickly for me only to eventually remember that I am invested in the Jesseks. Especially seeing Carver overcome his demons (if he's able to) and eagerly awaiting the moment Emma comes into her power and puts her doubters in their place 😀

So I think no matter how next season works out I'll consider myself a winner! (I also have a fondness for weird west and progression/cultivation/xianxia stories so as far as I'm concerned whatever you are most excited about will work for me)

In fact when I was snapping up various Forged in the Dark rpg's I came across a Fistful of Darkness and am planning on playing that at some point as it would scratch the Weird west itch pretty good for me.

Woo! What an opening. Trolldad prediction (in DM with SGH) was right! That's some great foreshadowing, excited to get some more of that CGI budget spent. Maybe they can tame him somehow 👹

All Fen Troll effects will be 100% practical. It's the only way to make it feel gross enough.
