“ We dedicate this hunt to you. Lend your daughter the swiftness of the hare, to slip the jaws that snap and claws that catch. Let our quarry think us rabbits, when we await him as wolves”

Now THATs a hunters prayer!

Yep; probably going to plagiarise it for the Darkening of Mirkwood campaign that I run, if not for Stonetop.

Great episode! And damn Owain! Damn his eyes! [Shaking my fist at a storm-wracked sky from atop a rocky crag]

I'm very enthused at how hateable Owain has become despite having relatively little screentime. :-D

Another great one. Literally every scene where ozbeg has a line is a highlight. Also, those rolls turned out exactly how they needed to, cinematically! I was worried not that anwen would lose or die, but that she wouldn't get the social xp for last-hitting the emergency rations 😅. I'm curious, though, how bad was anwen actually injured? She seemed _mostly_ fine after, and the bear never like, swung her around by her arm or something, but could she fight again, if Owain presses her?

Not very badly -- this is one place where the abstraction of HP is a bit tricky, but after a brief period of rest (using the "make camp" move), Anwen will be more or less ready to roll. The bear has the 'messy' tag, so it'd be reasonable to be a little more heavy-handed as GM, but since this Anwen never really rolled a miss, it didn't feel right to have her be mauled.

Another riveting episode of Stonetop. Anwen really is a tough fighter now, isn't she?

She really is -- in particular she can take a lot of punishment, and if she's not hitting first, she can dish out a lot too -- +1d4 for Payback, +1d6 for Anger is a Gift, and potentially another +1d6 for a strong hit on Clash! Pad's damage, when he's supported by the Companions, is more consistent, but Anwen can get those big swings.
